Jeanine K. Atwood age 66 of Amboy passed away on Saturday Oct. 11, 2025 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. She was born on Feb. 20, 1959 in Sterling, IL the daughter of Arlyn and Lorraine (Hillison) Covell. Jeanine was a certified dietary manager at Mapleside Manor, Franklin Grove Nursing Home, and the Nachusa Lutheran Home. She is preceded in death by her parents. Jeanine is survived by her three children Marty (Alicia Pauley) Stewart of Amboy, Amy Stewart of Lee Center, Nathan (Anne) Stewart of Sycamore, 9 grandchildren Ysbell (Carly) Ramirez, Jazmine Stewart, Bryan Stewart, Kendra Stewart, Noah Stewart, Evan Powers, Harley Powers, Aubrey Stewart, Nolan Stewart, 4 great grandchildren Emmett Stewart, Felix Stewart, Liam Cochrane, Sailor McKenna, and siblings Joy (Dwight) Nelson of Rock Falls, and Gary Covell of Arkansas. Cremation rites have been accorded with funeral services to be held on Friday Oct. 17, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Visitation will be on Friday Oct. 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
