Jeanine Vigeant Obituary

Jeanine was a co-owner with her husband of Edward's Welding & Repair. She was a former Trustee at Smithfield Elks BPOE, 2359, the first woman office for the Lodge and a former member of the Smithfield Emblem Club #434. She also worked at the Elks Bingo for 18 years.
She is survived by her children: Anthony Trotta of Warwick, Gina Trotta of Pawtucket, Joe Trotta of Providence, Tina Vigeant of Smithfield and the late John Trotta. She was a grandmother and great grandmother to many.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at noon in Highland Park, Johnston. Visitation respectfully omitted.

My deepest sympathies to all her family and friends. I've known Jean and her clan since the 80's. Jean used to be my mother-in-law back in the day. She was my second mom, a friend and mentor, and always treated me like a daughter. She taught me some things about life and I also learned a LOT about hot rods, muscle cars and auto repair from her, my ex father-in-law Ed, Tony, Joey and John.
She was one hell of a strong woman and fought many battles, some of which none even knew about, but she always showed up for her family and friends, no matter what she was going through.
I am truly blessed to have been a part of her journey.
May you fly high with the angels
