Jeanne Marie Baert

Jeanne Marie Baert, 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Austin, Texas, on September 27, 2025.

Born in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Richard Peter and Marie (Hulecka) Baert, Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Paul Baert, and is survived by her sister-in-law, Karen Baert. Her love for her parents and her brother was deep and enduring, and she cherished the memories and lessons they shared throughout her life.

Jeanne's heart was fullest when she was with her family. She was a devoted mother to Lucas (Megan) Pauwels, Lara Pauwels (David Allcock-Pauwels), and Monica Tupa. She shared her children with their father, Michael Pauwels, and treasured her role as a proud grandmother to Ethan, Claire, and Noah Pauwels; Abigail and Owen Pauwels; and Tyler Tupa, son of Monica and Jeremy Tupa. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she treasured every milestone, holiday, and quiet moment shared with them.

Throughout her life, Jeanne showed tireless dedication to her family and friends. She worked diligently to provide for her loved ones while nurturing them with unwavering love and devotion. Beyond her immediate family, she was a loyal and compassionate friend, always ready to offer support, share wisdom, and care for the joys and concerns of those around her.

Jeanne possessed a gentle strength and generous spirit that touched everyone she met. She delighted in simple pleasures: family gatherings, home-cooked meals, and celebrating life's special moments. She loved a home full of family, laughter, and the joy of being together. Her resilience, kindness, and selflessness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she enriched with her warmth and enduring love. Jeanne's memory will continue to inspire her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.

Services will be held on Friday, October 24, at Beck Funeral Home, 4765 Priem Lane, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow at noon. For those unable to attend in person, the service will also be live streamed.

A small remembrance will be held in Mishawaka, Indiana, in the spring.
