Trujillo Family Funeral HomeJeanne C. Hanson, age 80, born in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, on December 2
1944, passed away peacefully at 3 a.m.—the hour of Great Mercy—on
October 31, 2025, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Jeanne and Wayne were married on September 26, 1960. Together they
built a loving, faith-filled home and were blessed with three devoted
Catholic children: Wendy (Lonny) Rakes of Rio Rancho, NM; Heidi (Phil)
Stubbs of Great Falls, MT; and Grant Hanson of Rio Rancho, NM. Wayne
passed away 27 years ago, and Jeanne’s son Grant lovingly remained by
her side for the rest of her life. She is survived by her children, her
grandchildren: Fallon Rakes, Saxxon Rakes, Rhiannon (Austin) Pettit,
Landon (Angie) Stubbs, Bronson (Rachael) Stubbs, and 15 great-
grandchildren, as well as, her sister Judy Theisen of Park Rapids, MN and
operated Frontier Volkswagen in Glendive, Montana. After moving to Rio
Rancho, New Mexico, Jeanne worked as a Human Resource Manager for
JCPenney Telemarketing. Her strong work ethic, professionalism, and
compassion for others touched countless lives throughout her career.
Jeanne had the gift of making everyone she knew feel special. She
remembered every birthday, anniversary, and milestone, sending thoughtful
cards and handwritten notes that made her loved ones feel seen and
cherished. Her kind spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering faith were a
source of comfort and joy to all who knew her.
Jeanne will be deeply missed by her children, extended family, and many
friends. Funeral service will be held on December 29, 2025, at St. Thomas
Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sarah Road, Rio Rancho, NM. Rosary at
10 a.m. and funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family
suggests donations to your local Hospice, in honor of Jeanne’s faith and
generosity.
