Jeanne Albright Hurt, born February 2, 1933 a native of Port Angeles, WA on Puget Sound, died of Parkinson’s Disease in Charlotte, NC on June 12, 2023.
She moved to Scottsville as a newlywed when she married Allen County native Billie Hurt in 1953 and became a farmer’s wife. She later served as a secretary of Scottsville Baptist Church for 33 years.
Her girls gratefully savored the time spent with their fun-loving mother after she moved to Charlotte in 2018.
She was preceded in death by Billie and their son, Todd.
She is survived by daughters Jana Hurt Harston and husband Dr. Phil Harston, and Julie Hurt of Charlotte; a grandson Dr. Drew Harston, his wife Rev. Dr. Carol, and their sons James Collier and Walter of Louisville and a brother, Bill, of Virginia Beach, VA along with five nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home in Scottsville on Saturday June 17th, 2023 at 1:00 with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM followed by burial at Crescent Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to KY Hemophilia Foundation, 1850 Taylor Ave., Suite 2, Louisville, KY 40213
