Jeanne Lawer Obituary
Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband John Anthony, in 2000; her parents, James and Kate Carroll; her siblings Pat, Tim, Jim, and sister-in-law, Kathy. She is also predeceased by her in-laws Sandy and Jack Campbell.
She is survived by her children, K. Tara (Chris) Smoke, John F. Lawer (fiance Evita), and Kevin (Sara) Lawer, as well as her grandchildren, Theo and AJ Smoke, and John A. Lawer. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathy (David) Berlin, Maureen (Bob) Gornowski, Peggy (Dean) Sivley and her brother, Paul Carroll. Jeanne loved her relationships with her nieces and nephews– Matthew (Kaity) Berlin, Michael (Katie) Berlin; Aileen, Colleen, Jimmy (Victoria) and Liam (Katelyn) Carroll; Robert (Tracy) Gornowski; Julie (Jeff) Dickinson; James Sivley; Jenny (David) Tahan, and Jill (Eric) MacKnight.
Jeanne enjoyed a life surrounded by her family and friends. She had a way of making those around her feel special and will be joyfully remembered.
Visitation Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 10:30 to 11:15 in Holy Eucharist Church, 344 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 11:30am. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanne's memory may be made to Holy Eucharist Church at the above address or to Cathedral Kitchen, 1514 Federal Street, Camden, NJ 08105.

Jeanne and I lived next door to each other in Pennsauken. So grateful for the memories we shared. Old friends hold a special place in the heart. My deepest sympathy to the Carroll and Lawer Families.
