Jeannette Cordle Obituary

MECHANICSBURG – Jeannette Sue Cordle, 79 of Mechanicsburg, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family.

Jeannette was born on April 15, 1946 in Irwin, Ohio, to the late Ray Dixon and Telia (Kise) Dixon.

For 27 years, Jeannette worked as an assistant at the Village Pharmacy in Mechanicsburg. She was a proud charter member of the Goshen Eagles (3974), having been a part of the organization since 1982. Her membership meant a lot to her, and she cherished the many friendships she made through the club. A social butterfly, Jeannette had a passion for games like poker and bingo, where she often found joy in the company of friends and family.

Above all, Jeannette's greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. Her family was her world, and she showered them with affection and support. She also had a special bond with her poodle, Buddy Lou, who was a constant companion and a source of comfort in her life.

Jeannette will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Her laughter, generosity, and loving nature will be remembered by all who knew her.

Jeannette is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Harold Cunningham) Minix, Susan (Tim) Flock; son, David Cordle Jr.; sisters, Jane (Dave) Smith, Rosemary (Daniel) Rhoades, Brenda (Jerry) Dye; brothers, Dan Dixon, Dave (Becky) Dixon; sisters-in-law, Gloria (Jim) Westfall, Becky Jones, Debbie (Dave) Hutzell, Ida Jane (Fred) Miller, Shirley Cordle; brothers-in-law, William (Anita) Cordle, Dan (Jill) Cordle, Robert Reveal; grandchildren Courtney (Brad) Porter, Brandon Davis, Rachael Cordle, Justin Cordle, Michelle Flock, Nicole Flock; great-grandchildren, Arrianna (Morgan) McClendon, AJ Caudill, Keegan Porter, Jaysen Mathews, Konnor Porter, Kenzie Porter, Mae'Lynne, Elijah and Kyson; as well as several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her caregivers, Christy Herdman, Cassandra Koster and Universal Hospice.

Jeannette is preceded in death by her loving husband, David D. Cordle; her parents; sisters, Joyce (Gene) Dixon, Judy Castle, Sherry Gail Dixon, Shirley Reveal; and brother, William (Phyllis) Blackburn.
