Pettibone, Jeannette B.

August 17, 1936 - January 5, 2025

Age 88. was in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Howard and Arline (Marx) Beale. She passed away peacefully at Woodbrook Assisted living with family by her side. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and time to honor James R. "Bob" and Jeanette B. Pettibone. Bob and Jeanette were married 60 years and their wishes were to be cremated and buried at the same time. Bob passed away November 16, 2018. Survivors left to cherish their memories are their 3 loving sons: Dennis R. (April), David H. (Michelle) and Douglas W. (Mary Beth) and the late Martin B. Hourihan survived by his wife, Sharon Hourihan. They are also survived by 6 grandchildren: Sarah (Adam) Brimmer, Matthew (Lindsy) Hourihan, Rebecca (Mat) Pettibone, Katie (Anthony) Almeida, Travis (Kayla) Pettibone and Zachary (Amanda) Pettibone; 6 step-grandchildren: Kevin, Michael, Stacey, Gina, Rebecca, and Nick; along with several great-grandchildren. Bob and Jeannette were formerly of Buffalo, NY and moved to Elmira, NY in 2015 to be closer to family and friends when Bob was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The Pettibone family would like to thank the Woodbrook Assisted Living staff for the wonderful care and companionship Jeannette received over the past few years. Bob and Jeannette will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Elmira, NY. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home and Southern Tier Cremation Services are assisting the Pettibone family.

So sorry to hear of Jeannette“s death. We were good friends when we both lived in Jekyll Island Georgia. She was a wonderful woman. My prayers are with her family.
