Jeannette Tassmer Obituary
August 3, 1941 - December 25, 2025
Jeannette N. Tassmer (Taber) 84, of Meriden (formally of Hamden) passed away suddenly in her home. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Stuart A. Tassmer and Mother to the late Toby N. Tassmer as well as her brother the late David Taber. Survived by Son Timothy Tassmer (Alexia) of Wallingford and Sister Gladys Sanca of Hamden, and sister-in-law Barbara Moncevicius (Ray) of Meriden, grandchildren Natasha Sousa (Mario) Veronica Tassmer and Karly Tassmer-Dady (Michael) along with 2 nieces, 5 nephews 11 great-grandchildren and many "chosen family" whom she loved. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends are asked to go directly to Centerville Cemetery Tuesday at 11 a.m. for a graveside service.

To Jannette's family, deepest condolences on Jeannette's passing. We worked together at Arden House for 40 years. Many fond memories of her and Stu. We remained Facebook friends during our retirements. She will be missed. RIP Jeanette.

To Tim and the entire Tassmer family I extend my deepest condolences on the passing of Jeanette. What a wonderful person she was along with Stu. Their house was the hub of all "Pearl Ave" activity. From cards every night to "Beefs" at Big Top the whole gang hung out at Stu & Jeanettes for as long as I can remember. They took in "Rudy" and always treated him like one of the Pearl Ave kids. Outstanding People!!! May she now rest in eternal peace with her beloved Stuart. What an important part She and Stu played in the development of "All" of us Pearl Ave kids!! Never to be forgotten!!
