It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother & lifelong friend Jeannette Louise(Hain) Zellers. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elva(Ruhl) Hain and faithful wife of Allen R. Zellers. She is survived by husband Allen R. Zellers, sister Loretta J. Allwein(Robert, dec’d) Lebanon, daughters Jodi L.(Michael A. DeStefon ), Philadelphia, Sherri L. Zellers, Lebanon, grandchildren Benjamin A. Zellers, Lebanon, Kohl W. Hess(Chelsea), Lancaster, Michael C. DeStefon, Philadelphia, Gabrielle J. DeStefon, Chicago, great grandchildren Kaliber A. and Rowan B. Hess, Lancaster, the Kimmerling Girls, with whom she attended a one room school house, Polly and Joan and beloved fur baby Poppi. A proud farmer’s daughter, she was born on March 29, 1939, and raised on the family’s farm once owned by William Penn . She described that time as some of the best in her life. Attending South Lebanon High School until her family moved to Maple Street, she became a proud member of Lebanon High School class of 1957. Upon graduation of Bryland Beauty School of Beauty Culture in Reading, PA, she became the proprietor of Jeannette’s Beauty Shoppe with her sister for over 50 years where they made Lebanon beautiful one hairstyle at a time. A fan of 1950’s, Tom Jones and disco music, her fashion sense was widely admired. We will forever miss Mawsy’s cookies and pies and wry sense of humor. Her love of flowers graced her home. She traveled the U.S. falling in love with the Southwest. Countless trips to Disney World that included decorating golf carts and 5k races filled her life. She fiercely loved the Phillies(especially Cole Hamels) and Penn State football(particularly in the years of Joe Paterno). An endless supporter of all her children she will be remembered as kind, loving and generous. Please hoist a beer(Miller Lite with ice) , a gin and tonic or scotch and soda in her honor and tell a saucy joke. She was a queen. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation in her name to the Humane Society, of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, PA 17067. Services will be private.
