Gavin Michael Zellers

Gavin Zellers passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 12, 2025, in Austin, TX. Born on Dec. 15, 2005, in Houston, Gavin spent his life beneath the wide skies of The Lone Star State. Gavin was Texan through and through. He attended many schools and graduated from Westwood High School in Austin in 2024.
Gavin lived with physical and health disabilities, but he never complained and lived a happy and fulfilled life. He was an overcomer in his many challenges to his body and mind.
Though his years were few, Gavin's presence left a mark that time will not erase. Those who knew him carry with them memories shaped by his spirit-moments that now shine even more brightly in remembrance. His absence is deeply felt and his memory tenderly held by family, friends and loved ones alike.
Gavin touched so many, many lives. He always made people laugh and smile when he was around. He was full of contagious joy, comfortable with who he was, and loved everyone unconditionally without judgement.
He had a wonderful wit, a gift of memory for songs and so many other things. He especially loved garage doors, elevators and doors ever since he was very little.
Gavin is survived by his parents; Thomas Matthew Zellers, Melissa Katherine Zellers, and one brother, Austin Zellers of Austin; Grandparents -- Billy and Barbara Warren of Austin, Pam Zellers of Houston, Tom and Kathy Zellers of Houston; and many loving cousins, aunts and uncles. We are, as a family, so blessed to have had Gavin in our lives.
A viewing and visitation will be held for Gavin on Monday, November 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Ln, Austin, Texas, 78752; followed by a private, family graveside service 11:30 a.m. at Cedar Park Cemetery, 110 S Bell Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613.
In honor of Gavin's life and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gavin's name to The Social Care of Life (a non-profit organization). A check can be sent to 2261 Gattis School Road, Round Rock, TX 78664, Suite 120, attention Nora Carter. This organization is the dayhab Gavin attended daily and loved so much.
Gavin saw others through the lens of Christ. His family is comforted by the promise of eternal life and the knowledge that Gavin is now in God's presence.
He was truly sent from God as a gift of joy and laughter. Gavin fulfilled his purpose here on earth and is now in Heaven with his Lord Jesus singing and worshiping to his heart's content. He has heard the Lord say to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant". He will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace our dear sweet Gavin. We all love you so much. We will see you soon.
