Jeffrey Michael Schultz, known affectionately to friends and family as Jeff, was called to his eternal home on June 22, 2025, after a valiant battle with Neuroendocrine Carcinoma. Born on September 27, 1988, in Houston, Texas, Jeff's radiant spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all who were blessed to know him.
Jeff was a proud graduate of Westwood High School in
Austin, Texas, where his passion for sports, especially soccer, shone brightly. His love for his country led him to a distinguished service in the Marine Corps as a saw gunner, where he earned numerous accolades, including the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Letter of Appreciation, a Certificate of Appreciation, an Expert Rifle Badge, and a Marksman Pistol Badge. Jeff's dedication to his country and his fellow Marines was unwavering, and his patriotism was an inspiration to all.
After his honorable service, Jeff continued to touch lives through his love of the outdoors, movies, and his enduring Christian faith. He lived his life as a testament to the words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This scripture guided him through life's challenges and triumphs, and he shared this strength with everyone around him.
Jeff is survived by a loving family: his parents, Eddie and Brenda Furney Schultz; his brother, Gregory Kyle Schultz (Kathleen); his aunts and uncles, Loretta and Stan Gardner, Robert & Joi Schultz, Dale Schultz, Susan Savoi, Karen Schultz, Timothy Schultz; his cousin Christopher McCulloch and his wife Sara along with numerous other cousins and family members. Each family member will forever cherish the memories of Jeff's intelligent, spirited, and funny nature.
Jeff's life was a beacon of light and hope. His intelligence was matched by his wit, and his spirit was as generous as it was playful. He was a man of deep conviction, whose Christian values shaped his every action. Jeff's legacy is one of laughter, courage, and an unwavering faith in God.
As we bid farewell to Jeff, we hold tight to the belief that he has found peace in the arms of his Creator. We take comfort in knowing that his life was a reflection of the love and grace that is promised to each of us. Jeff will be greatly missed, but the impact of his life will continue to be felt by all who knew him.
In the words of St. Augustine, "Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe." As we mourn the loss of Jeffrey Michael Schultz, we find solace in our faith, trusting that he now sees the full glory of the Lord he so fervently believed in.
Jeff's life was a journey of faith, love, and service, and we are all better for having been a part of his story. May his soul rest in peace, and may we carry forward the light of his spirit in our own lives.
