BRISTOL

Jeannine (Nadeau) Deschenes, 93, of Bristol, widow of Louis Deschenes, died on Friday (September 5, 2025) at Apple Rehab in Avon. Jeannine was born on June 23, 1932, in Baker Lake, Province of New Brunswick, Canada, and was the youngest of seven children of the

late Pea and Elizabeth (Caron) Nadeau. She grew up in Baker Lake moving to Bristol in 1962. She loved her early years living in Baker Lake and would enjoy her return visits to see family. She worked for Connecticut Spring for 25 years before retiring and was a parishioner of

St. Matthew Church, Forestville. A New York Yankee fan, she enjoyed her years bowling in the Bristol Ten Pin Sunday League, and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and trips to the casino. Jeannine is survived by three children: Daniel Deschenes of Massachusetts, Linda Magee and husband, David of Sammamish, WA, and Nancy Dillaway, and husband, John of Avon; three grandchildren: Jessica O'Brien and husband, Kevin, Kara Dillaway and fianc, Joseph, and Haley Magee; a great-grandson: Kieran; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Louis, parents and six siblings. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (September 11, 2025) at 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Wednesday between 5 and 7 p.m.. The family thanks the staff at Apple Rehab in Avon for their kind care of Jeannine. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
