Jeannine Flinchbaugh of Southampton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born on September 11, 1938, to Marvin and Elsie Overmiller, Jeannine grew up in Red Lion, Pennsylvania spending her childhood surrounded by her large extended family. She met the first love of her life, Ronnie Flinchbaugh, in that same small town. After attending nursing school at York College of Nursing, Jeannine and Ron wed and built a wonderful life in New Jersey, where Ron secured a position as a high school math teacher. Jeannine continued her nursing career at Rancocas Valley Hospital where she served as an RN Supervisor until her retirement. Together, she and Ron raised their three daughters in a warm, loving, safe, and carefree home. Their life together was rich with adventure and they forged deep, lifelong friendships along the way. Jeannine loved to travel and treasured the many happy memories she created during her extensive trips across the United States and abroad with family and friends by her side.
Several years after Ron's passing, Jeannine became reacquainted with Harold Paley at their 50th high school class reunion. Harold and Jeannine spent nearly twenty years enjoying each other's company and companionship. They took pleasure in taking long road trips and quiet moments together, simply watching the wildlife from her home on the lake in Leisuretowne.
Though Jeannine was a woman of few words, her love for her growing family was profound and unwavering. She was reliable, steadfast, and always there to offer support during life's ups and downs. She instilled in her family the enduring values of love and commitment. As an only child, becoming the matriarch of her family remains perhaps her proudest legacy.
Jeannine is survived by her daughters, Amy Hart (Bud), Melissa Meckley (Joe), and Susan Erickson (John), as well as her five grandchildren: Taylor (Joe), Kyle (Kim), Alex (Paul), Tori (Leala), and Laurel (Jeff). The delight of her later years was her great-grandchildren: Delaney, Frankie, Maddox, Saylor, Hayes, Jack, and Cooper. She also leaves behind the second love of her life, Harold Paley. Jeannine was a fortunate woman who lived her life well and will be missed greatly by all who continue to love her.
Services will be held privately with her family.
