Jeff B. Carroll, 90, of Augusta, KS, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Graveside service 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at Riverview Cemetery, Arkansas City, KS. In honor of Jeff, please drive an antique or cool car if you have one. Jeff was born in Arkansas City, KS on August 8, 1934, to the late Daisy (Schwanas) and Jeffery B. Carroll. Jeff served in the U.S. Army. He had worked as an Augusta Police Officer and Volunteer Firefighter and had also worked as a machinist and tool builder for many of the aircraft companies. Jeff loved cars, and had a truck that he took to hundreds of car shows. He also enjoyed metal detecting. On May 12, 1956 he married Carol Jean (Mott) Carroll. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Bradley; brother, Bill Carroll. Jeff is survived by: son, Jeffrey Carroll; daughter, Crystal Shinkle and husband Wes; sister, Charlotte Fry; grandchildren, Jamie Evans; great grandchildren, Braden, Ashley, and Caleb Evans and Camden and Brody Shinkle; great great grandson, Matthew Evans.
