Vincent Dwain Martin, 101, of Augusta, KS, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026 in Augusta. Rosary 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February, 18, 2026 with visitation following until 7:00 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery Augusta, Kansas. Vince was born in Zenda, Kansas on July 17, 1924, to the late Hazel (McDaniel) and Herbert Martin. On April 8, 1953, he married Marie Meng in Sharon, KS. He owned Martin Chevrolet in Attica and Harper before moving to Howard. In Howard, Vince worked on his farm raising wheat and cattle. Vince retired and moved to Augusta. Vince enjoyed playing cards and square dancing. He and Marie also camped several places and wintered in Arizona. Vince is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marie; his children, Connie Van Gundy of Haysville; Linda Muller of Valley Center; Don Martin and wife Jana of Towanda; Dennis Martin and wife Yvonne of Rosalia; Daryl Martin and wife Denise of Augusta; Alicia Warrington and husband Fred of Augusta; and Lori Skeet and husband Bart of Lane; a sister, Phyllis Martin of Attica; 25 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Herschel, Maurice, and Melvin "Quick" Martin; a sister, Lois Gunther; and a grandson, Donnie Goucher. Memorial donations to may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 1012 Belmont Avenue, Augusta, KS 67010.
