Headley Funeral ChapelJune Kay Pressnell, 72, of Augusta, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Via Christi St. Francis, surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta. A service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Hope Community Church in Andover, Kansas, with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta, Kansas.
June was born on January 4, 1954, in El Dorado, Kansas, to the late Lois F. (Hull) and John B. Kaiser. She dedicated her professional life to banking, faithfully serving her community for many years. June was a longtime and devoted employee of Prairie State Bank and also shared her talents with several other banks throughout her career, most recently with Equity Bank. Her strong work ethic and warm spirit left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
Proud of her heritage, June was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Susannah French Putney Chapter in El Dorado, Kansas. On June 2, 1972, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Pressnell, in Augusta, Kansas. Together they built a life centered around their faith in God, love, family, and unwavering commitment to one another. Robert survives her.
She is also survived by her daughters, Jennifer Hummel of Augusta, Kansas and Stephanie McDonald of Cameron, North Carolina; her sister, Jean Groendes (Vince) of Hamilton, Kansas; her cherished grandchildren, Brandon Smith, Tyler Smith (Madison), Dylan Pressnell (fiancé, Gianna), Dayton McDonald (Allison), Landyn McDonald, Greenley McDonald, Kelsyn Hummel, and Kynlee Hummel; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Taden Smith, Brixley Smith, Baylor Smith, and Murphy McDonald. She was also joyfully anticipating the arrival of two more great-grandchildren, Tripp Smith and Baby McDonald.
Memorial contributions may be made in June's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
June's legacy of love, devotion, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
