Jeffrey Francis De Jong, affectionately known as “Noodle” passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 50. Jeff graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1992 and immediately entered the Army National Guard. Upon completion of the Guard Jeff was a faithful employee at E Z Glide Garage Doors until his retirement late last year.
At any given night, one could bump into Jeff at a number of establishments throughout Kaukauna. Through the years he had garnered many relationships with old and new friends. Though a little quirky, Jeff was always genuine. He had a trusting heart, in that anything you told him, he would take as the truth… no agenda, just thinking of you as a good, honest human being. No matter your situation, Jeff had a joke in wait to attempt to cheer you up. In fact, his main goal through life was to try and make people laugh. When he wasn’t working, Jeff liked to visit as many people as he could throughout the city. Whether it was bowling league, a Friday fish fry, or simply pulling up a bar stool, he wanted to be around people. If you’ve never met him, you’ll always remember the first time you had. Undoubtedly, he will be remembered by many throughout Kaukauna and around the lakes of southern Oconto County.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother and father, Frank and Joyce De Jong. He is further survived by his brother, Gregory (Tracy) De Jong and their children, Tia, Lili, and Jayce, and his other brother, Steven (Billie Jo) De Jong and their children, Kristen, Brittney, and Danielle; along with 3 great nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held for Jeff from 4:30 – 8:00 PM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave, Kaukauna, WI 54130. Jeff will be laid to rest at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Freedom, WI.
We need to extend our utmost gratitude to the Schommer Family and the team at E Z Glide Garage Doors. Through the years, they have treated Jeff as one of their own. Words cannot express the compassion and care we’ve witnessed through the years that the entire family at E Z Glide extended to our brother. For that, we will be forever grateful. We’d also like to thank the staff at Country Villa for compassionately caring for Jeff over the past few months.
