With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey "Jeff" Earl Hillbom, who left us on March 9, 2025. Born on July 16, 1963, to the late Beverly and Donald Hillbom, Jeff was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend. A proud veteran, Jeff honorably served in the United States Navy from 1982 to 1988. His dedication and service to his country were a great source of pride for both him and his family. He was a 1981 graduate of Henry Ford II High School, where he built lifelong friendships and developed the quick wit and sense of humor that endeared him to so many. Jeff is survived by his cherished son, Jeffrey W. Hillbom. He will be deeply missed by his loving siblings, Linda (Gary) Glashauser, Patricia (Joe) Bowles, and Mark Hillbom. He was a proud uncle to Ryan (Crystal), Kristen, Katie, Kristie, and Brian, and a great-uncle to Ethan, Kage, Michael, and Kellan. Jeff found joy in life's simple pleasures, spending time on the water boating, casting a line while fishing and enjoying the peace of the outdoors. He treasured gatherings with friends and family, always bringing laughter with his quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor. His ability to brighten a room with a joke or a smile will be missed by all who knew him. Though his time with us was too short, Jeff's spirit will live on in the memories of those he touched. His love, laughter, and kindness will forever be carried in our hearts. A memorial gathering will take place at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd (3Blks. E. of Van Dyke) Utica, on Wednesday (April 23rd) from 10am until the time of service at 12pm. You can honor Jeff by donating to the American Diabetes Association or by simply spending time with loved ones, sharing a laugh or enjoying the great outdoors-just as he would have wanted.
