JEFF JOHNSON
Jackson, TN: Jeffery Lynn Johnson age 53, passed away November 6, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Germantown.
He was born July 14, 1971, in Shelby County and grew up at Beech Bluff, the son of Larry Eugene Johnson and the late Patricia Jeanette Page Johnson. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1989. He worked as a carpenter for three years and then worked at International Paper as a machine set-up operator and had worked at Henderson Stamping several years.
He was a member of the Beech Bluff Baptist Church.
Jeff was a charismatic, fun-loving guy who loved the outdoors and loved to have a good time. He loved to laugh and see those around him laugh. An Avid hunter and fisherman, he was extremely talented. Jeff could do anything he set his mind to. He was an excellent cook, carpenter and friend. The size of Jeff’s heart exceeded the size of his personality.
Jeff is survived by his father, Larry Eugene Johnson of Jackson, TN; two sons, Hunter Kyle Johnson of Chester County and Jackson Johnson of Jackson, TN and a daughter, Shelby Lynn Hicks (Brandon) of Parsons, TN; his fiancée, Tara Smith Johnson of Jackson and three grandchildren, Sadie, Tanner and Tatum Hicks and a sister, Kimberly Ann Pollock (Ray) of Henderson.
Jeff had four bonus children, Will Johnson (Madeline), Kirby Smith (Jennifer), Zach Johnson and Tatum Rinks (Josh); five bonus grandchildren, Mackenzie Smith, Lily Anne Johnson, Kynleigh Smith, Addison Rinks and Kai Rinks and bonus in-laws, Barbie & Jimmy Paulman and Vickie Smith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Jeanette Page Johnson in 2018.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 12th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel. Burial will follow at Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday.
