Jeff Nance, 61, of Winslow, passed away March 17, 2025 at his residence. He was born February 16, 1964 to Gordon and Frieda (Sander) Nance in Greenfield, IN. Jeff worked as a machinist supervisor as a tool and dye maker. He was a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge # 514 F&AM. He and his family traveled the country professionally racing go karts. Some of his hobbies were hunting and fishing but his favorite thing to do was to take his granddaughter out on the tractor and watch her in cheerleading. She always made it clear he was not grandpa, he was Papaw.
Jeff is survived by his wife, DeAnna Nance; son, Jon (Brittany) Nance; daughter, Bryanna (Sgt. Michael Garner) Nance-Garner; grandchildren, Elsa Mae Garner and one on the way; and brother, Mark (Dana) Nance.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A service for Jeff will take place at 4 PM EST on Wednesday, March 26, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 12 PM EST until service time. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Campbelltown, IN. A Masonic service will take place at 3:30 PM EST. The family requests that everyone dress casually and comfortably for the services. The family has also requested that in lieu of flowers that donations please be made out to DeAnna Nance for the creation of a trust for their grandchildren. Please mail donations to PO Box 217 Petersburg, IN 47567. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
