Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service of Kenneth Jeffrey Tanner, age 55, who passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at his residence. Jeff was a native of Appling County, living thirteen years in Lexington, South Carolina. He was the owner of Tanner Piano and a piano technician for the University of South Carolina. Jeff relocated his business, Tanner Piano, to Baxley in 2011 and serviced pianos all-over Southeast Georgia and South Carolina. Jeff was a graduate of the University of Georgia where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and was a piano tuner for the University of Georgia.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Claire Harbin Tanner.
Surviving is his wife of twenty-four years, Paula Tanner; children, Payne Ivie, Pierce Tanner and Abbigayle Tanner; sister, Tamela Folsom (Woody); niece and nephew, Anna Kate Folsom and Tanner Folsom; other family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 20, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. from the First Baptist Church of Baxley with Reverend Fred Anderson officiating.
Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.
Mr. Tanner will lie in state one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Active Pallbearers are Tanner Folsom, Woody Folsom, Allen Cone, Bart Black, Jason Frederick, and Eric Wildes.
