Waverly, Ohio Jeffery Allen Hawk, 58, of Waverly, Ohio passed 8:42 a.m., Monday, July 21, 2025, at Adena Pike Medical.
Jeffery was born June 27, 1967, in Chillicothe, Ohio, gave his heart to Jesus on July 17th the son of the late Robert Eugene Hawk, and Thelma Jean (Russell) Hawk. On August 1, 1999, he was united in marriage to Teresa Lynn (Gorman) Hawk, who preceded him in death on February 27, 2012.
He is survived by three children, Tiffany East, Adam Gorman and Bobbie Hagerty; five grandchildren, Alton, Charlie, Lily, Linley and Matt; two sisters, Debra Jo Montgomery and Tammy May; and many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Victoria Bauer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, a son, Jeremy Hawk, sister Vicky Hawk and brother-in-law, Richard May.
On July 17th, Jeffery Hawk gave his heart to Jesus Christ, finding peace and the promise of eternal life through his Savior. He was proud to share his salvation with those who had long prayed for him.
Jeff was formerly of Buchanan Road, known for living in the "Yellow House on the Curve," where he enjoyed playing with the Pollard, Crabtree, Silcott, and Lawson families. He worked at Penn's Lumber in Piketon and was deeply thankful for the Penn family's support and prayers.
He treasured time spent with his sisters Debbie and Tammy, his late brother-in-law Richard May, and the extended May family, who he considered his own. Jeff also found community and friendship at Shyville Senior Living, especially enjoying Sunday dinners and the kindness of his dear friend Jerry.
A proud fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals, Jeff also served for many years as a 4-H Advisor. He held a special place in his heart for his Uncle Lowell Smith.
Jeff's family rejoices in knowing he is now at peace, walking the streets of gold with his Savior.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Barry Penn officiating. Burial to follow services at Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Adena Hospice nurses Carrie and Jenny Moore, and to Adena Pike Medical Center for their exceptional care and compassion during Jeff's final days.
