Jeffery Wright Mulholland
September 15, 1960-November 11, 2024
Jeff was born in Royal Oak on September 15, 1960, to the late Katherine (Kay) and Frank Mulholland and died suddenly on November 11, 2024, in Shelby Township. Jeff grew up in Auburn Hills, in the Bloomfield Orchards subdivision, and attended Avondale Schools. He graduated from Avondale High School and joined the U. S. Navy. Jeff proudly served 4 years, including a year in Australia, before attending and graduating from Central Michigan University. Over the years, he worked at Meijers, Builder's Square, Lucky's Steakhouse, and Sam's Club. He had recently retired from Sam's Club after nearly 20 years of service.
Jeff's faith journey started with his baptism at Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church and continued at University Presbyterian Church. He grew up in UPC, and participated in Tables for Eight, serving at the Baldwin Soup Kitchen, Chancel Choir, Rochester Area Christian Singles (RACS), teaching Sunday School, and serving as a Deacon. It was at UPC, in choir, that he met his future wife, Lisa, asking her out on their first date in the Narthex. They were married at UPC on November 25, 1995. He was a loving father to their two children, Jeffrey Adam and Andrea Katherine. He was pleased to welcome son-in-law Chase Fackler to the family. Nothing brought him greater joy than his 2-year-old grandson, Avery James and he was honored when his youngest great-nephew was named Cameron Jeffrey.
Jeff's family was central to his life. He was the "go to" for his parents in their later years. He took on this responsibility with love and dedication. He was the beloved "Uncle Jeff" to his nieces and nephews. There enjoyed many fun summer afternoons tubing on Long Lake, with Jeff striking poses before falling off the tube. Jeff became the adored "Uncle Ducky" to his great-nephews.
Jeff loved life and had such an energy about him that was just contagious. He was so genuine and had such a love for people. Jeff was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan, wearing their gear all the time. He was known as "Señor M" to the children he met on two mission trips to Costa Rica. "Mr. M" became involved with Middle School Youth Group at UPC and volunteered for many years. Jeff went on several trips to Springhill in the winter, leading the charge down the tubing hill (even the year he attended with a cast on his leg). More recently, "Mr. Jeff" had found joy in volunteering with the youth programs at Bridgewood Church in Goodrich and had been looking forward to more adventures with them.
Jeff is going to be missed by so many. He is survived by Lisa, his loving wife of nearly 29 years; his beloved children Adam and Andrea (Chase) Fackler; his cherished grandsons Avery and Briley Wright Fackler (expected in April 2025); sisters Pam (Mitch) Harlan and Sue (John) Johnston; brother Joe Mulholland; mother-in-law Andrea Arbuckle; in-laws Cindy (Tim) Feldpausch, Patty (Dan) Ruckman, Brian (Agnes) Arbuckle; nieces and nephews: Eric Harlan, Tommy (Kaytee) Harlan, Jonathan (MacKenzie) Harlan, Amanda (Tyler) Warner; Sam, Ellie, Owen, Isaac, and Lily Feldpausch, Anna (Trevor Abele), Jillian and Isabelle Ruckman, Madeline and Claire Arbuckle; great-nephews Grayson, Bennett, Maddoxx, and Cameron Harlan. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law James Arbuckle
