Jeffree Prows, Escalante, Utah
Jeffree Moroni Prows was born July 2, 1961, to Frank and Carol Sue. Jeff passed away on June 12, 2024, in Panguitch. Jeff "Bean" married the love of his life Jennifer "Guinevere" Diane Fabbi on August 19, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; and his five children: Ruby Sophia, Dustin James, Anna-Korrine, Joshua and Nicholas. Jeffree is also survived by his siblings: Mike, Lisa (Robert), Mark (Kimberly) and John (Kimberli). Jeff also treasured his many nieces and nephews whom he loved seeing each chance he got.
He was preceded in death by parents, Franklin D and Carol Sue; and his brother David.
Jeffree was born in Salt Lake City and attended Cottonwood High School, class of 1979. Jeff was an exceptional athlete in basketball, baseball and football. He was a standout player in football as a star tailback for the Cottonwood Colts. Jeff wore #34, which inspired his two younger brothers to wear the same jersey number when they played football. Jeff's success on the football field was due to his elite speed of running a 4.3 second 40 yd dash. His football success eventually led him to trying out for the professional football team, the Denver Gold. His love of football continued with Jeff coaching his little brothers little league team. Sports remained a big part of his life as the years went on. One thing is for sure, you could always catch him cheering on the Utah Utes and Kansas City Chiefs. He went on to serve a Spanish speaking mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sacramento, California.
Jeff was an avid outdoorsman. He especially loved fishing and hunting. This led to one of his jobs as a professional hunting guide. He had many famous clients including Karl Malone. In addition to spending his time outdoors he loved to travel. Some of his favorite destination spots were Taiwan, Alaska and Seattle, which is where he saw his first professional baseball game (Mariners). Jeff spent most of his time with his wife Jenn and daughter Ruby. Together they created many traditions and memories such as cutting down their own tree for Christmas each year. He enjoyed the little things in life like watching movies with Ruby, making others laugh and holding Jennifer's hand.
Jeffree was a man of many trades. He always had a history fact, life hack or spout of wisdom in his back pocket ready to use at a moment's notice. Most of all he enriched the lives of everyone he met with his kind, helpful and humorous nature. His infectious energy will be missed though his spirit will continue to live through all of those who had the honor of knowing him.
For anyone who knew Jeff and would like to join, graveside services will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at 12:00 Noon in the Salina Pioneer Cemetery. Viewing at the cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
