Jeffrey Bakewell, 77, of New Hampton, passed peacefully on November 5th, 2025, surrounded by family at Westchester Medical Center.
Jeff is remembered as a caring father and respected bus driver and aide, with a contagious sense of humor, a competitive spirit, and an unwavering love for the Boston Celtics and St. Louis Cardinals.
Born on December 3rd, 1947, in Newton, New Jersey, Jeffrey grew up in Middletown, New York. A lifelong area resident, Jeff graduated from Middletown High School in 1966.
Jeff found great joy in the outdoors through bicycling, hiking, and playing sports. He had a laugh that was contagious. Jeff was a sentimental man who loved his children very much.
He is survived by his Daughter, Son and five grandchildren.
Jeff will forever be missed. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.
