With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Paul Broussard, age 39, who passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2025.
Born in April 1985 in Raceland, Louisiana, Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife, Madison Sperry-Broussard; his parents, Ronald and Kathleen Broussard; his brothers, Ronnie Jr. and his wife Amber, and their children Carson, Caden, Cameron, and Cohen; Anthony and his wife Elizabeth, and their children Grace, Anna, Luke, Caroline, and Olivia; and his brother Michael. He is also survived by his sister, Stephanie Hartfield, and her husband Matthew, and their children Madeline, Andrew, Emma, Nathan, and Abigail.
A true Louisianian at heart, he had a love for the great outdoors and found joy in life's simple pleasures--fishing, camping, backyard barbecues and crawfish boils with family and friends. Whether paddling his kayak through a quiet cove or casting from the banks of a nearby pond, his newest passion was chasing the dream of landing the next record-breaking largemouth bass. He also had a deep love for adventure, often dreaming of the next trip to the mountains in Colorado or fly fishing on the Guadalupe River.
Jeffrey had a kind, gentle spirit, and his humor was one of a kind-- subtle, silly and always memorable. He had a gift for making others laugh without ever trying too hard. His playful nature and quick wit brought joy to every gathering. Steady, loving and wonderfully unique, he will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made in Jeffrey's memory to Project K-9 Hero
