Jeffrey Brown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Collins-Burke Funeral Home on Jan. 21, 2026.
Jeffrey Wayne Brown, 65, passed away on January 19, 2026. He was born on March 30, 1960.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Covenant Church of the Nazarene from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Ollie Brown.

He is survived by his beloved "sweet thang," his wife Susan Brown; his children Brandi Clark (Jeff), Meg Summerlin (John), and Noah Brown (Lorinda); and his treasured grandchildren Ty and Brinlee Clark. He is also survived by his mother, Jeanette Brown; his brother, Steven Brown; his aunt, Fran Banks; his best friend and cousin, Greg Banks; along with a host of extended family and dear friends. Also left to cherish his memory are his two loyal dog pals, Ruger and Tucker, and his beloved grandpups, Cooper and Hank.

Jeff was a simple man with the most caring heart for his family, friends, and even complete strangers. Above all else, he loved his children immensely and was beyond proud of each of them. He was a father figure to those who needed one and a second father to those who didn't
even know they did.

Jeff was an avid bass fisherman, loved the beefy rumble and ride of a Harley, and was a skilled marksman with firearms. He loved the Lord and chose Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, living his life grounded in faith.

For 25 years, Jeff served as a registered nurse at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, dedicating his life to caring for others until his retirement in 2020. His compassion, steady presence, and selfless spirit touched countless lives.

Jeff will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kind heart, gentle strength, and unwavering love for those around him.

John 14:1-3
Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and also trust in me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be
with me where I am.
