Jeffrey Scott Cannizzaro, 54, of Petaluma, California passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2026. Jeff was born on May 9, 1971, to loving parents, Joseph and JoAnn Cannizzaro and grew up in Milford, Connecticut.
After graduating from Foran High School, Jeff attended the University of Connecticut where he earned a B.A. in Economics and was an active member of the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon (ΣAE).
Jeff was a loving father, and nothing gave him greater joy than spending time with his son Greyson. Jeff was a diehard sports fan and loved music. He was especially obsessed with his Boston Red Sox and the musical group New Edition. Jeff was a beloved little league baseball coach for many years, positively affecting the lives of so many kids.
Jeff is survived by his son Greyson and Greyson’s mother Lauren Kenney, Jeff’s father Joe, brother Justin Cannizzaro, sister-in-law Lynn Muniz Cannizzaro and cousin Jon Bufort. Jeff will forever be missed by the aforementioned, along with his many other cousins, various nieces and nephews, and many other family members and friends that adored him.
A celebration of Jeff’s life for his family & friends will be held at a later date in both California and Connecticut. At which time, the family asks that you consider a donation to Greyson's college fund in lieu of flowers.
