Jeffrey Cherry Obituary
A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Jeffrey Cherry and the late Beryl Marie Lenoir Cherry. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Magdelene Lenoir Dunton. He was employed by Steel Mart, Inc. and was a member of Jones Temple AME Zion Church. He enjoyed being with his family and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.
In addition to his father, Jeffrey is survived by his son, Sayquon Ebrom; three sisters, Treshice Cherry-McDonald, Renee Cherry and Breeawn Cherry; one brother, Nigel Cherry; four grandchildren, Sayvion and SahRiya Ebrom, Braelon Thompson and Malea Faulkner; aunt, Benita Jones (Henry), uncle, Bart Lenoir; and two cousins Donna and Joyce Lenoir.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Jones Temple AME Zion Church with Reverend Walter Bryson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
The care of Mr. Cherry has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
