Our beloved Relative/Brother/ Sun-dancer Jeffrey Chipps. Jeffrey had a contagious smile and a kind, giving, brave and strong spirit. He loved us all so much. He was deeply loved by many. No matter where he was or what he was doing he genuinely cared for those around him. He found peace and purpose in singing ceremony songs and was always by our dad's side traveling, helping with sweat lodges and traditional ceremonies. His presence brought warmth and light wherever he went. We will all TRULY deeply miss our brother.
Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Dayna Harmony Chipps; sisters, Sherry Chipps, Michelle Chipps, Jessie Chipps, Raylene Chipps, Rochelle Chipps, and Crystal Chipps; brothers, Trevor Chipps, Vincent Chipps, Godfrey Chipps, Charles Chipps, Jr., Ellis Chipps, Andrew Chipps, and Woptura Chipps; nieces & nephews, Kyros, Kayler, Montana, Cashis, Ellisa, Cylis, Travis, Teresa, Trevor Jr., Charlotte, Adaleah, Raymond, Charlie, Carly, Caylee, Mason, Payton, Jaydon, Kinleigh, Khaydon, Kawhi, Dana, Alexius, Alexandra, Charlie, Summer, Autumn, Myron, Tatanka, Kaydence, Aloysius, Kalise, Memphis, Julian, Jr., Aurelius, Kassian, Briseis Joy, Malek, Constance, and Deanna; hunka mother, Kimberly Martinez-Malo; hunka grandmother, Phyllis Gutierrez; and numerous cousins.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Chipps, Sr. and Jaylene Debbie Quick Bear; sister, Charlotte Chipps; paternal grandparents, Ellis Chipps & Victoria (Lodge Skin) Chipps; maternal grandparents, Goldie White Feather and Robert Quick Bear; and nieces & nephews, Hunter Water, Emily Chipps, Ta Canupe Wakan Win, and Akylen Water; and close friend, Tyler T. Randall,
Pallbearers will be Trevor Chipps, Charles Chipps, Jr., Godfrey Chipps, Andrew Chipps, Benjamin Chipps, Jr., Will Bettelyoun, Todd Randall, and Matthew Fergueroa.
Honorary pallbearers will be Denna Pauline Andrews, Chad Doyle, All Friends and Relatives and Sundance Family.
Wake Services: Two night wake service starting at 3:00 PM, Monday, July 7, 2025 at the TNT Center in Wanblee, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM
Funeral Services: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the TNT Center in Wanblee, SD
Traditional Lakota Services: Richard Moves Camp and Darla Black-Lopez
Burial Services: Woptura Family Cemetery, Wanblee, SD
