I met Jeff sometime in the '90s through friends of mine when I went to visit my parents in CT, and we just hit it off. I was living in NY at the time but we'd get together when I was in town. When he got his first job in NYC, I was also working in Manhattan and again we'd get together and go out on the town many late nights. He met many of my friends then, and of course they loved him. He used to help me with my taxes when I started out in my career, and since he loved chocolate, and I had a connection to Nestle, I'd send him brownies and candy bars across town as "payment" :). He said it made him very popular with the people in his office when he'd get those packages!
We stayed in touch when I moved to DC and he moved back to CT, then back to NY. I would see him in Virginia if he had time during his visits to see Monique and his nephews, since it turns out we lived not too far away from each other. He'd tell me the latest stories about his nephew Ben and his brother. He'd apologize if we didn't get together during those trips, but in Virginia he was Uncle Jeff and I know he loved that role.
I have so many fond and fun memories of him. A memory I had of him came up this morning when I was on the phone with Nicola, my CT friend -- the one who had introduced us so long ago, and then she told me of his passing...
As many have already said, he was a good, kind, likeable person and I feel lucky to have known him. I lost touch with him sometime ago after he was back in NYC, but he's often been in my thoughts and will continue to live there.
To Jeff's parents and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I know he loved you all so much.

I had the pleasure of working with Jeff at UPS for 10 years. Jeff was always positive, showed compassion for his co-workers and was a pleasure to be around. Jeff would come into the department to get a few chocolates and share stories always with a smile. My condolences to his family. I will miss you.

I don´t even know where to begin. Jeff was a childhood friend of my husband. He was our best man at our wedding and godfather to our son. So many happy memories with him. He will be missed!
