Jeffrey Santos "Fred" Diego

With sadness in our hearts and gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we share the passing of our beloved Jeffrey Santos Diego. Jeff touched countless lives with his joyful spirit, neighborly love and infectious laughter. He was the kind of man who made the neighborhood feel like a family, checking in on others who could use a little company, or sharing a story that left everyone laughing. Born on Guam in 1967, Jeff celebrated his first birthday in Oakland and spent the rest of his years in Hayward, California. He was a proud father to his sons Jeffrey Francisco and Justin Robert, and his daughter Monique Elena. In 2000, he met the love of his life, Michelle Marie. They married on August 28, 2005, joining their families with Michelle's sons, Daniel Paul and Julian Nicholas Garza.

He will be lovingly remembered for his devotion to his family, his passion for the Raiders, hosting gatherings, fishing, camping and the way he made every moment brighter for those around him.

Jeffrey aka Fred will be forever cherished by his family and friends.

His spirit and memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family
