A very sad loss to many many people. I was Jeff's soccer coach during our days with the St Louis Park Bozo's. Jeff was always a very dedicated person with many attributes to the team and fellow players. The team members will miss Jeff at our annual get together, but he will always be mentioned and remembered for his great personality.

Jeff Dobbs had the charisma of a film star, yet he was warm and approachable. His eyes sparkled, his smile inspired, his presence calmed. Jeff built an enterprise, Pro Staff, along with his older brother Doug, and friends Clay and Mike. I had the privilege of working with them at Pro Staff for almost eleven years. Because of Jeff, and the employment opportunity he had the faith to create and sustain (for me and many others), I made it through the years that took me from young married to single mother--that is, Jeff made an opportunity for me to earn my way and sustain myself and my son. Men like Jeff Dobbs inspire because they believe in their own vision, and invite others to participate. I will remember Jeff for his warmth and for the difference his vision made in my life. I'm grateful to have been a part of the world he created, and I wish his wife, children and extended family all Heaven's best.

I had the honor and privilege of working at the Pro Staff Corporate Office in Minneapolis for 1 ½ years. Jeff’s reputation and Pro Staff as an organization was and still is well known in the staffing industry and I felt it was an honor and accomplishment just being selected to work there. I am thankful and grateful for the opportunities awarded me because of Jeff - I will never forget how it has impacted my career and my life and I could not thank him enough. He was (and still is) an awe inspiring man who was a superb husband, father, son, brother, friend, boss and businessman. The world will forever be a better place because Jeff Dobbs was here. His legacy of integrity, living life to the fullest and down to earth charm will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Dobbs family.

I am so saddened by the loss of Jeff. I also had the privilege of working for Pro Staff (for 14 years), but more importantly I had the privilege of knowing Jeff.
As I read through the many entries here, the same words and phrases appear over and over – humble, generous, kind, devoted to family, leader, and a man of high integrity. Jeff was truly all of these things.
My thoughts and prayers are with Kay and his family. Jeff will be truly missed.

I interviewed with Jeff Dobbs and joined Pro Staff in 1990 and although career opportunities occasionally led me to accept positions outside the company, I returned to Ware Consulting and again to Pro Staff for the chance to work for a true leader and contribute to his vision. I returned because of Jeff’s integrity, his sincerity, his kindness, his wisdom and his humor. He was real. When you spoke to him, you weren’t speaking to a CEO or a “business leader,” you were speaking to Jeff and he listened and cared. He was a rare man and the world is a lesser place without him. Our thoughts are with his family during this trying time.

A few years ago I was heli-sking with Jeff in Canada. Jeff and I were resting on a steep, tree lined ravine with an almost impossible line down. We looked at each other with concern and wondered who would go first...I waited a few seconds and all I heard Jeff say was "It's probably not going to get any easier....See you at the bottom. Thats the way he lived his life. I am proud to call you my friend...We will all miss you Dobber...

Jeff was a person I greatly admired, a man of true integrity. I will miss Jeff walking down the hall at Pro Staff, cup of coffee in his hand, twinkle in his eye, smile on his face and always saying "Hi, Kris". It's been a pleasure to work for Pro Staff for four years. Jeff deserves the Ultimate Pro Staff Vision Award for creating a company that has employed thousands of people throughout the country over the 25 years, me being just one. Jeff will be missed each and every day, but I will remember the great things he did for his community and his employees.

I never got the opportunity to meet Jeff, but if he was anything like his brother Doug, I know he was a very loving and compassionate man. I grew up with Doug and Laura Dobbs, and I'm best friends with their daughter Nicole. I just lost my father on 10/20/07, and Doug, Laura and Nicole were an absolute blessing to my mom, sister and me during the initial first days.
I am so sorry for your loss. We will be grieving with you and praying for you down in Dallas, Texas. The quote that keeps me going each day is the following:
"Those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time".
This brings me a lot of comfort because I can't wait to see my best friend (my Dad) again one day in heaven. I hope it helps you as well.

Dear Dobbs Family
My family and I wish you all well through this despairing time. I met Jeff once while up in training at corporate. The moment I met him he made me feel so welcomed. He new my numbers as well as I did. Jeff knew what I was capable of as a brand new BDM. He told me that if I kept doing what I was doing, then I could help take Dallas to a new level. I loved him for the support that he gave everyone. Not just my self. Jeff was a great man. And everyone should be proud of the legacy that he has left behind.
Thank you Jeff

To the Dobbs family and friends; My heart is truly broken for the loss of Mr. Dobbs. I have worked for Pro Staff for 2 1/2 years and had the pleasure to meet Jeff a few times. I looked forward to my anniversary so I could speak with him again. This past summer when he called me for my 2yrs, he spoke of the vacation he just returned from with his family and how fantastic it was to be with everyone. I admired the work-life balance he instilled in the leadership team; Truly a family oriented man. Because of Jeff, and the influence he and the other great men had 25 years ago, I have been able to meet people that have changed my life. And with that, have been able to change the lives of others as well. We have been able to work for a company with integrity, built with a true foundation of morals and ethics. His legacy holds strong with the Pro Staffer's who truly "Bleed Blue" and we will carry the torch for Jeff as he has now passed it to us. We will make him very proud. The world has lost a true leader, a spectacular business man, and a loving gentleman, son, brother, husband and father. May God wrap His arms around you all during this time and always.

Jeff will be missed by so many. I worked for Pro Staff for three and a half years, and was fortunate enough to have been personally thanked by Jeff on my first and third anniversaries, which is a Pro Staff tradition - I don't think that personal touch is a part of many companies. Jeff smiled frequently, remembered everyone's name and set a great example of how to lead. We have lost a wonderful man.

Kay and Family~
Our deepest sympathy go out to you all in this time of great sadness. We were blessed to have known Jeff for the last five years through his involvement with The Juvenile Diabetes Reasearch Foundation along with the ProStaff family. Jeff both taught and inspired us to do so much more than we were already doing in supporting JDRF with his enthusiasm and commitment to find a cure for diabetes. We can truly say that the world is a better place because of Jeff. We pledge to carry the torch with our involvement with JDRF and in our journey to find a cure for diabetes as a whole.
Your in our thoughts and our prayers!

I am beyond grateful that I got the opportunity to work with Jeff. Jeff touched my life with his vision in more ways then one. I started out as a temp, and was then lucky enough to start working at the corporate office in Minneapolis. He was truly a great man. The love he had for his family was sincerely amazing. The loss of such a great man will be felt by many and some time to come. To his family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Remember him for all the happy times you got to share with him, miss him, and love him even more. I am so sorry for your loss. Jeff you will be greatly missed.

Dear Kay,Jennifer,Erica,Steven and Melanie:
I am so sad to hear about your loss. As neighbors in Tuckborough I remember the beautiful Xmas Card I have received every year. How Jeff always came trick or treating with kids to our home. Our daughters always loved babysitting for both of you. May God bring all of you strength to get through this. He was a man I admired as he loved his family and this was evident. Our deepest sympathy at your time of sorrow. The Krupa Family

Dobbs Family- I am so sorry for your loss. I worked at Pro Staff for about a year and a half, and during that time I was able to see truly how much he cared about his Pro Staff family. He called me on my 1 year anniversary and I just thought that was great that he took time out of his day to do that. It really made me realize what a great company this was and how he cared about each individual. He also came to our office a few times and had lunch with us and was an inspiration to us all. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I have had the pleasure and privilege to work with Jeff for over 20 years. His love and commitment to Kay and his kids, and his passion for building a lasting great company will be an inspiration to all of us who knew him.
Kay and family please know how much we all love you, our prayers are constantly with you during this difficult time.
In almost every conversation I had with Jeff at some point he would mention Kay, or a story about one of the kids. He was a devoted husband and father.
May God's love and blessing help you through this terrible loss.
