Jeffrey Paul Duch, 68, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2025, at Door County Medical Center. He was born on February 12, 1957, in Cheboygan, Michigan to Frank and Helyn (Fairman) Duch. Growing up in a Coast Guard family, Jeff's love of ships brought him to Sturgeon Bay, where he began work for Bay Shipbuilding Corporation, and then later was employed by Peterson Builders Inc. His current employment was with ExacTech Inc, where he had been for the last 19 years.

Jeff found happiness in life's simple, meaningful moments, whether it was a lighthearted game of mini golf, a peaceful afternoon outdoors, or the quiet joy of attracting birds to his backyard. He was fond of scenic drives and often took the long way home just to enjoy the view. Jeff enjoyed exploring craft breweries and never turned down the chance to go out for some good perch or walleye.

Whether working on a puzzle at the kitchen table or cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Jeff was most content simply spending time with those he loved. He showed his love through his generosity, always making sure his family had everything they needed. His deep appreciation for life's everyday moments, his smile, and his enthusiastic laugh will be missed by those who knew him.

Jeff will be immensely missed by his partner in life and love for 35 years, Susan Belongia, Sturgeon Bay; two sons, Joseph Duch and Jeffrey Duch, both of Sturgeon Bay; stepdaughter, Allison (Thomas) Schumacher, Cottage Grove, MN; granddaughter, Teagan; sister-in-law Kim Duch, Cheboygan, MI; nieces and nephews, John (Jen) Duch, and their children, Conner and Callie, Petoskey, MI; Amber (Wendell) Smith, East Jordan, MI; Arin (Dane) Ostroske, Cheboygan, MI; Jessica (Jason) Nessinger, and their children, Michael, Cole, and Mason, all of Sturgeon Bay; Extended family, Cheryl (Mike) Burmeister, Sturgeon Bay; Steven (Jayne) Belongia, Sturgeon Bay; Pat (Sandy) Belongia, Carol Stream, IL; Carol (Daniel) Grovogel, Sturgeon Bay; and Barbara Belongia. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Michael and David Duch; nephew, Adam Duch; Susan's mother, Gloria Belongia; and Susan's brother, Larry Belongia.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay, WI with Rev. Peter Mannoja officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Door County Land Trust in Jeff's name.
