Jeffrey K. Ferguson, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL. Born on Wednesday, October 26, 1966, in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Donald E. "Doc" Ferguson and JoAnn (Kime) Ferguson. Jeff is survived by his loving children, Monique Corners of Evansville, Indiana and Zachary Corners of Centralia, Illinois, who were the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind his devoted siblings: his brother, Larry Ferguson, and wife Vickie of Centralia; his sister, Jolene Hutchison and husband Gary of Dix; and his half-sister, Diane Hostetler and husband Larry of Little Elm, Texas. Jeff was a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews. His dear friend Taz Fryman of Centralia, Illinois, will deeply miss his friendship. Predeceased by his parents, Donald and JoAnn Ferguson, Jeff now joins them alongside his brother, Randy Ferguson, sister, Melissa Sharp, brother-in-law, Gary Hutchison, his two nephews, Holdyn McDonal and Dylan Moore, and his lifetime companion, Shannan Corners, in eternal peace. Throughout his life, Jeff indulged in simple joys and passions. He was an avid fan of BBQ, spending countless weekends perfecting his grilling skills. Many remember him fondly during lazy afternoons spent by the water, fishing rod in hand. Jeff also enjoyed watching baseball and football games on TV, sharing his enthusiasm for sports with those around him. As an avid motorcycle enthusiast, Jeff often found solace and freedom on the open road. In accordance with Jeff's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded, and no public services will be held. The Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, located at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia, Illinois, is honored to be entrusted with Jeff's arrangements. Friends and family are encouraged to share their condolences and memories online by visiting www.sutherlandfuneralhome.com or the Funeral Home Facebook page.
