Jeff was the apple of his dad's eye. He loved scouting with him and taking lots of trips to Lake Powell. Jeff helped his dad repair anything that needed it, and he helped his dad build the new house. Jeff fell off his dad's roof, injuring him badly. Roland was so excited to see Jeff, and could hardly wait to see him after a trip. It didn't happen but Roland counts on their being together again one wonderful day.

Jeff was an amazing guy. I was fortunate to be able to share some good times with all of you! I will never forget the time he spent working on the truck and bikes with us, the goat and much more. Prayers with all of you.

Jeff was a great friend and co-worker. He and I worked together in Colombia on Team Condors. Jeff brought professionalism, knowledge and unity to the team. During the worst of times he brought his positive attitude to the table. Personally Jeff was a good friend and brother of mine and he will be truly missed. Tina and I wish Jeff’s family our most sincere condolences.

Jeff was one of a kind and I’m sorry to hear of his passing. Went elk hunting in CO two years ago and tried to look him up then and last year but lost his contact info. I remember talking with him about Lake Powell and hunting. We were on the same rotation in Bagram and he was one of the highlights of that experience. Proud to have known him

Jeff Hobbs, what a great guy. I worked with Jeff for several years in Colombia, South America. Great mechanic and there was never ever a dull moment when Jeff was around. I will always remember the great times we had with all of us OV-10 guys and remember Jeff as the funniest guys I’ve ever met. He will be missed my many and never forgotten.

I first met Jeff in '99 or so while working for DynCorp. He was a hard charger with a great work ethic and an even greater sense of humor. Always a pleasure to have him around. You'll be missed by many Marine. Fair winds and following seas. Semper Fi. My prayers are out to your family.
