Jeffrey Cecil Hollers was born September 6, 1944 to Andy Clyde and Rosslee Gilbert Hollers in Kildav, Harlan County, Kentucky. He died from complications of Parkinson's on January 17, 2025. Shortly after his birth, his father, a coal miner, moved the family to Owosso, Michigan where he grew up. At the age of 16, Jeffrey joined the U.S. Army. After more than a decade of service and two tours in Vietnam, he was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. Jeffrey was awarded many commendations to include The Purple Heart for being wounded trying to save his platoon in the heat of battle. Jeffrey was educated at Owosso High School. He received extensive military education, and received a Masters in International Studies from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.
Jeffrey lived and worked on the west coast, and in Germany. He lived in Mexico for a time where he enjoyed deep sea fishing. He was a natural linguist and spoke fluent German, Spanish and Vietnamese. He was also a student of cultures, religions and customs of the far east.
Jeffrey loved to write. He wrote several books of fiction. International action thrillers that can be found on Kindle under his pen name, Scott Grant.

Dad is survived by his wife Jackie Hollers of Puyallup, Washington, brothers Billy Joe Lloyd of Hemlock Michigan, Andy Gerald Hollers of Owosso, sister Zella Graham of Owosso, and Helen Humphrey of Lyman, South Carolina. No man is perfect, but Dad was a good man to some, and a great man to others. He was loved and will be loved for eternity. He is an American Hero and will be missed.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
A viewing will take place at Edwards Memorial at Lakewood on Monday January 27, 2025. Dad expressed his desire to be cremated and his ashes spread at sea.

How determined and passionate he is when it comes to people he loves or things he is devoted to.

Jeffrey is my father. I recall my favorite memory with him telling us stories as we all laid back on the floors of our new home in Washington. He would go on to tell us about the grumpy troll who blocked the bridge to stories he had when he had been younger. These first few memories built off many more great ones.
