Services for Jeffrey D. Griebel, age 61, of Paullina who passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Orange City Area Health. His funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Paullina with Pastor Dr. Lynn Dau ~ officiating.

Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina.
Visitation with family present will be from 5 – 7 P.M. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina.

Jeffrey Dean Griebel, the son of Marlo and Arlis (Langerock) Griebel, was born on May 23, 1961, in LeMars, Iowa. He was baptized on July 2, 1961, at Calvary Church in LeMars, Iowa. He was a youth elder and attended General Assembly following confirmation at the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina on April 15, 1976. He received his education from Paullina High School graduating in 1979. He was united in marriage to Christine Craig on April 10, 1982, at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. The couple made their home in Paullina raising their two sons, Derek and Dillon. Jeff worked on the pipeline in Sioux Falls for many years and then became self-employed working on the farm. Jeff passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Orange City Area Health reaching the age of 61 years, 10 months and 9 days.
Jeff was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina. He enjoyed spending time at Okoboji and boating. He especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren meant the world to him.
Left to cherish his memory are his two sons and their wives, Derek and Jennifer Griebel of Paullina and Dillon and Stephanie Griebel of Sanborn; grandchildren, Alex, Anna, Allison, Adalynn, Colin, and Blair; his parents, Marlo and Arlis Griebel of Sioux City, Iowa; mother-in-law, Joyce Craig of Paullina; his siblings, Jaquelyn (Jeff) Gothier, Jay (Cindy) Griebel, Jewelyn (Jim) McKercher, and Jamathyn Griebel; also, other relatives and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Christine in 2020, twin grandsons, Abel and Bennett Griebel and father-in-law, Howard Craig.
