Jeffrey Wayne Magnuson

Jeffrey Wayne Magnuson - born on September 27,1962 in Glen Cove, New York - passed away at his home on June 15, 2025 at the age of 62. He is now reunited with Jesus, his loving parents Ernest and Margret Magnuson, his sister Ann Magnuson, and brother Chris Magnuson.
Jeff was employed in the concrete industry for upwards of 45 years and was very proud of his work at every jobsite he encountered. He had always insisted that his work be perfect as if he has sculptured the concrete all over the State of Florida. For 28 years, he was a loyal employee for Leo's Concrete Specialties and was extremely dedicated to Leo, Rose, Steve, and Peter Badalamenti. Jeff served as concrete superintendent for his employer for many years right up until 4 days before his passing. He always spoke of his gratitude for the exceptional help he received from his Crew Foreman Juan Ruan and often said that he wouldn't be able to do his job well without him by his side.
Jeff was an avid traveler and was especially happy and relaxed when vacationing on Royal Caribbean cruises and long road trips with his long-time love of 28 years, Donna Hobson. Jeff thoroughly enjoyed attending NASCAR races and shared this love with Donna's daughters, Ali Hobson-Parks and Kelly Rotsch, by taking them to their first race at Daytona Speedway in August of 2024. He felt most at home here on "The Space Coast" and often followed the launch schedules of the local space programs. Jeff would frequently get to witness the rockets and shuttles "blast-off" up close while working on a jobsite at or near NASA's launch pads! One of Jeff's favorite memories was exploring The Kennedy Space Center with his Grandson Bobby O'Connor. During their frequent visits there, Jeff would show Bobby all of the entities he helped to build at KSC to include rocket launch pads as well as other projects he completed at nearby Blue Origin and SpaceX while working for Leo's Concrete Specialties.
Lastly, Jeff had an extreme passion for music. His love for music began when he played trombone in his elementary school band. Throughout his younger years, he excelled at playing the drums and in the recent past was self-teaching himself how to play his Dean Electric Guitar. He was most popularly known for extraordinarily playing the drums in two bands. Of the two, "G.O.D" was locally well-known in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area and included his brother Chris and his very dear friend of many years, Ron Corley.
Survivors include brothers Warren and James Magnuson as well as sister Laurie Caira. Jeff's beloved niece Kim Flores recalls some of her favorite memories of her Uncle Jeff to include watching "G.O.D." play music and one instance when he rescued her from a snake by allowing her to jump up and hold onto his neck when she was a little girl - even though this nearly choked him! Jeff is also survived by many nieces and nephews that he held close to his heart.
There will be no viewing or funeral service. His family will scatter his ashes into the wind and the waves via his last cruise in a private ceremony.
