Jeffrey “Brent” Manning, 61, of Zebulon, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 28, 2025.
The family will receive friends on January 2, 2026 at 10:00 am at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway West, Wilson, NC 27896. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am in the Chapel followed by the burial at Bailey Town Cemetery, 11499 Hwy S 581, Bailey, NC 27807.Pastor Phillip Brantley will officiate.
Brent was born on January 28, 1964, to the late Willard Elias and Joyce Denton Manning of Bailey. His departure from his earthly home leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, yet his legacy and positive impact remains an inspiration to anyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A man of unwavering faith, Brent’s life was a testament to the message: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
Brent is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Teresa Sorrell Manning; his beloved children, Matthew Manning (Christy), Cameron Manning, and Christian Manning (Tracie). He was the proud grandfather of Jordyn (12), Carter (8), and Averi (4), and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first grandson, Brent Reed, due in March 2026. He is also survived by his sisters Theresa Manning Moore and Lori Manning of Bailey along with many cherished extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents.
