Jeffrey Alan McElwee, 66 of Glen Burnie passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Jeff was born on August 22, 1957 in Ft. Meade, Maryland to the late John and Margaret McElwee. Jeff worked his entire career as an auto upholsterer. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, canoeing, camping, fishing, puzzles, watching game shows, and the Ancient Aliens documentary. He also had a passion for cooking and genealogy.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife of almost 16 years, Laura L. McElwee; his devoted daughter, Ashley M. McElwee; his niece, Heather Most; his nephew, Todd Tharp; his stepsons, Ron and Lauron Schirmacher; his grandson, Julian McElwee; his sister, Bonnie Reichert; his half-sisters, Michelle McElwee and Tina Siener; and his dear dog, “Killian”. Along with his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Matthews and his brother, John McElwee, Sr.
