Jeffrey "Jeff" McNaghten, 68
LAWRENCEBURG

Jeffrey "Jeff" McNaghten, age 68, of Lawrenceburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025. Born on March 4, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, Jeff was the son of the late Howard McNaghten and Carma Spencer McNaghten.
Although he grew up in Columbus, Jeff always considered Buckeye Lake, Ohio his true home. His journey later took him to Florida, where he met his wife, Martha Clark. Together, they made their home in Lawrenceburg for the last 38 years.
A talented chef and ice carver, Jeff worked at notable establishments including the Lexington Marriott at Griffin Gate, the Hyatt Regency of Lexington and the Holiday Inn at Capitol Plaza in Frankfort. Outside the kitchen, Jeff was an avid outdoorsman. He was a proud past member of the local Sportsman Club and found joy in hunting, fishing, and reading.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Martha C. McNaghten; sons, Matthew McNaghten (Jessica Larison), Jacob McNaghten and Kristian McNaghten (Brook Hardin); grandchildren, Mason, Hannah, Sadie, Isaiah, Abygail, Ayron, Shaylin, Cullen and Koralee; sisters, Terry Webb (Jay) of Springfield, Ohio, Melody Sue Stanitz of Groveport, Ohio and Sherry Grimm (Chip) of Thornville, Ohio; brothers, Tracy McNaghten (Lori) of Thornville, Ohio, Ronnie Yuhas (Jan) of San Antonio, Texas and Johnny Yuhas (Judy) of Reading, Calif.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Saffell House Funeral Home.
