Jeffrey Harlan Mitchell

Jeffrey Harlan Mitchell, 62, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his home.

He was born July 20, 1963, in Petersburg, West Virginia, and was the son of Thelma Rebecca (Mitchell) Fleisher of Franklin, West Virginia and the late Harlan Lank Mitchell.

Jeffrey was a 1981 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1985 graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. He was Senior Environmental Geologist for the Winchester, Virginia office of Triad Engineering Inc. Jeffrey was registered as a Professional Geologist in Virginia and Pennsylvania, Knight of the Golden Horseshoe and Licensed Remediation Specialist in West Virginia.

On October 3, 1998, he married Diana Lynn (Hamrick) Mitchell, who survives.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by –

Two daughters –

Grace Elizabeth Mitchell and Abby Lynn Mitchell

And a number of cousins

He was preceded in death by an infant brother.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 21 at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastors Paul Schaefer, Angela Lambert and Sherri Schaefer officiating.
