Jeffrey Wayne Newcomer went home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 16, 2025. He was born on March 20, 1959, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, to Beverly (Thompson) Pollite and the late Clarence Wayne Newcomer.
Jeff grew up in Potosi, Missouri, where he was active in both school and community life. He played multiple sports and held a variety of jobs around town, shaping the strong character and work ethic that defined him throughout his life. His athletic talent led him to Maryville University, where he wore number 15 on the basketball team. As a member. of the 1978–79 squad, he helped set records that stood for 35 years, and the team was later honored with induction into the Maryville Athletics Hall of Fame.
Jeff began his career with Walmart and went on to serve as a district manager for several companies until his health no longer allowed him to work. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Jeff was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan, following his teams with unwavering loyalty through every season. He found his greatest joy in supporting his children and later his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as they. played basketball, baseball, soccer, and other activities. His presence on the sidelines was a constant source of encouragement and pride for his family.
On June 25, 1994, Jeff was united in marriage to Pamela McCord. Together they built a loving family that was the center of his life. He was the proud father of Josh, Dylan, and Blake, and cherished his daughters-in-law Tina, Courtney, and Laurin as part of his family. Jeff loved watching his family grow. He was a devoted grandfather to Jax, Carson, Connor, Gwendolyn, Devon, Dylan, and Dustin, and a loving great-grandfather to River.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Wayne Newcomer; his stepfathers, Ted Kelderman and Lester Politte; his grandparents, Clarence and Edna Newcomer and George LaVon and Corinne Thompson; his brother, Kevin Brockway; and his aunt, Linda Mae Newcomer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam; his sons, Josh, Dylan, Blake and their families; his mother, Beverly; his sisters and their spouses, Kathy and Kelley Silvey, Angie and Mick Schlosser, Amy and John Locurto, and Tish and Chris Bates; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members who will carry on his memory.
Jeff will be remembered for his steadfast love for his family, his devotion to his faith, and the joy he found in cheering on the people he loved most. His life was a testament to the values of faith, family, and perseverance.
Friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation at. DeClue Funeral Home on Thursday, August 19, 2025 from 9:30 am until the time of his Funeral Service beginning at 1 pm Pastor Jim Ainley officiating. Interment and final prayers will follow at Redbud Memorial Gardens.
