Jeffrey M. Openbrier

Jeffrey M. Openbrier, 68, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in Midway. Born June 11, 1957, Jeffrey was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Fort Cherry Junior / Senior High School. He was well-regarded in his community, known for his helpful and likable nature. Jeffrey built a successful career as a roofer and plumber before retiring from his role as a van driver for First Transit Handicapped Transportation Service in Houston. Alongside his late wife, Diane Openbrier, he had a passion for showing dogs and spent many enjoyable hours fishing at Pymatuning Lake. He leaves behind his son, Jeffrey Openbrier, Jr. and wife Krista; one grandchild, Caysee; his brothers, Mark (Debbie) and Kenneth; and his sisters, Darlene Schultz (William J. Schultz) and Robin Russo. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane Openbrier; his sister, Peg Claire; and his parents, Dennis and Mary Dewey; along with many nieces and nephews. Jeffrey will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of kindness and dedication to his loved ones and community will not be forgotten.
