Jeffrey S. Plourde, 60, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on 4/30/2025 at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital following a yearlong battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Maryann (Fasano) Plourde.
Born in New Britain, CT, on September 4, 1964; Jeffrey was the son of Sandra (Gessner) DeBlois and the late Paul Plourde. He spent the last few years working in the maintenance department at Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT; a role that reflected his lifelong talent for fixing and creating with his hands.
Jeff was a man of many passions, but none greater than the time he spent with family and friends. He found joy in Jeep rides, traveling, fishing, sport shooting, and sharing the fruits of his many hobbies-wine-making, curing meats, and distilling spirits. Whether tending to his garden, cooking a hearty meal, or building something from scratch; Jeff approached life with care, creativity, and pride. His hands were always busy, and his heart was always full.
In addition to his devoted wife of 35 years, Maryann, and his mother, Sandra, and her husband, Robert DeBlois, Sr., of Plainville, Jeff is survived by his three sons: Thomas Plourde and his wife, Kate, of Lewisville, NC; Zachary Plourde and his wife, Cait, of Clinton, CT; and Jeffrey Plourde of Clinton, CT. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jack Plourde. He also leaves behind three brothers, Jason Plourde and his wife, Jonelle, of Southington, CT; John Plourde and his wife, Barbara, of Plainville, CT; and Paul Plourde of Boise, Idaho; as well as his father-in-law, Nicholas Fasano of Wolcott, also Jeffrey's aunt and uncle, John and Beverly Plourde of Plainville, CT, Jeff is also survived by his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Joseph Fasano and his wife, Josephine, of San Diego, CA; Nicky Fasano and his wife, Eileen, of Thomaston; Judy Biolo and her husband, Brian; Janet Mancini; and Louis Fasano, all of Wolcott; several step siblings; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. Jeffrey was predeceased by his stepmother, Judy Plourde.
Arrangements: A memorial service with Jeffrey's cremains present, will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
