I'm crushed. I have been devouring his books on my kindle of late while stuck in hospital waiting rooms for days on end and came to love them as a cherished distraction. I even see the mannerisms of my own corgi in his mystery series.
It was only when I reached out to social media that I discovered that we lost him right around the time that I found his work. How is it that I feel I've lost a friend I never even met?
