Jeffrey Stephen Prouty, 36, of New Hampshire, died suddenly on December 30, 2024.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving and supportive parents, Stephen and Amy (Shackelton) Prouty and his wonderful sister, Colleen Prouty Lightner and brother-in-law Samuel Lightner, as well as two adoring nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jeff was happiest when he was surrounded by his loving family and friends, hugging a family Labrador Retriever, playing and being goofy with his nephews, sitting by a campfire, waterskiing slalom on a smooth New Hampshire lake, and snowmobiling, with deep and powdery snow flying around him,on trails and fields in Maine and New Hampshire, with his Dad.
Jeff was an ardent Patriots fan, never missing a game, always cheering enthusiastically.
He was a charming, social being with a contagious laugh that will be deeply missed.
Although Jeffrey had some challenges in life, the common thread to his individual family members' and friends' memories of him is his kind, helpful and loving spirit and huge heart.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Marshfield Youth Basketball, PO Box 38, Marshfield, MA, 02050. Jeffrey loved playing in this league as a child.

Didn't know him very long. But he was a stand up man with a good heart and charming personality. I would have liked to know him better, and am saddened by his loss. My heart goes out to his mom and dad
