He was born in Champaign, IL. on January 17, 1956, the son of Harry & Doris (Bateman)Redmon. He married Rose Ann Bell on June 14, 1997, in Champaign, IL. She survives.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Rose; Stepchildren- Jason (Jessica) Fleming of Moses Lake, WA, and Dannielle (John) Fleming of Dallas, OR; Brother- Steve (Sherry) Redmon of Paisley, FL: 2 Granddaughters & 2 Grandsons.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother – Gary Redmon and infant brother-Teddy.
Jeff worked as a custodian for University of Illinois for 20 years until his retirement in 2025He was an avid Illini sports fan, St Louis Cardinal fan, enjoyed woodworking, making holiday caramels & peanut brittle. He spent lots of time with the McDonalds Coffee Group and was known for his sense of humor. Jeff was the best brother, brother-in-law, uncle & friend. Jeff had a great and faithful relationship with Jesus. He loved his church and especially his church family.
Celebration of life service will be held on Monday, March 16 at 12:00 noon at Savoy United Methodist Church, 3002 W Old Church Road, Champaign, IL 61822. Visitation will be from 11-12:00 at the church. Memorials may be made to Savoy United Methodist Church. Condolences may be made at www.renner-wikoffchapel.com
